The work you will do on this challenge goes far beyond the goals you have for weight loss and completing a race--it is ultimately about creating a lifestyle of healthy habits. These next few months are about solidifying long-term lifestyle behaviors for the rest of your lives. Being moms, it is very difficult to find time for ourselves because we always put our children at the top of the priority list and ourselves at the bottom. This is your chance to move to the top of that list in order to be stronger and healthier for your children. Living by example is a tremendous gift you can give your children who watch and want to emulate every move you make. It is a very exciting and important time in your life to get active.
The following training plan is based on the desire to complete a 5K. Logging running miles and strength training are a must in order to gain the best cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength to achieve this goal…and feel good while doing it.
