You can be competitive, but you also need to be competent in at least two of the three disciplines. This program ramps up quickly and includes a progressive workload on lactate threshold, lactate clearance and longer sessions on your swim, bike and run. The workouts in this program include sets of 2400 yards (or meters) swim, 35-45 miles on your bike and 6-10 mile runs. These are not just distance sets, but the workload is also maintained. You will have numerous opportunities to establish legitimate goal times for your race based on your key marker sets throughout the program. Building your background and confidence is paramount to your success. This program will challenge your physical and mental tenacity.
